I NEED NOT BE Punctual
All of us are professionals today and saying ‘sorry’ I am late in coming to office or finishing an assigned job may not work magic any more. There are time lines on assignments and they are to be done on time every time. It is better for career prosperity to ensure our adherence to punctuality in coming and possibly leaving office too. Also ensure completion of assigned work on a time bound frame. Faltering on time lines may besides spoiling your name and goodwill, will not provide an opportunity to mend our ways.
I WANT EVERYTHING NOW
Instant gratification may be our buzzword today but will not work unfortunately in the long run. There is none who can say confidently that he has achieved getting everything he wanted. It should be understood that at work place you cannot accumulate all the experience of your seniors – it all takes time as your seniors would vouchsafe. You can’t aspire to have everything. Not that it is impossible – nothing is impossible in life but may only be difficult as the adage goes - but it all takes time to be bequeathed with. One often mixes career with money and if one wants promotion in work place and aspires for better compensation, worth as an individual should increase to keep pace with the cost.
THAT’S ALL I AM GOING TO DO
If you are not open to change and confine only to job descriptions worked out for you, you not only get unnoticed but also miss out an opportunity of an upliftment. Take up jobs outside your work to establish and demonstrate your untapped latent talents which will prove that you have the willingness to rake up newer initiates too
I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO MADE IT TO SUCCEED
No man is an island all by himself and as a Tamil adage goes “ no single tree can make a groove ” This attitude is a very wrong one to practice if one wants to climb the ladder of prosperity in his career. World cup is not won because Dhoni alone thought he could do without the outstanding and concerted team work of his team. The leadership in you should inspire the team to come out with sparkling performance to succeed. If you do well, give and share its credit with your juniors and peers who contributed to it ; even if you do not jell with few of them practice the art of being polite and take them along your wings – a sure way to leadership and prosperity. It should also be understood that there is no place for emotions ,anger and tantrums in workplace as all of us work for a common purpose and goal as set out by the corporate which has engaged you. Remember that all your mail are being sent using the corporate server and ‘bad mouthing’ ‘unparliamentary words’ or an unwanted chat in office could lead to avoidable and embarrassing fiasco.
I KNOW EVERYTHING
No job today is secure and it not that one can know everything and there is a lot for the learning in this world till we are in it. Business landscape all of us should realize, keeps changing constantly. If you do not want to be a Dinosaur you need to upgrade skills of yours constantly – an exercise better practiced to be in the rat race in this commercial and hectic world. Past accomplishments, though laudable, do not suffice anymore and learning through the seniors takes a paramount importance. After all they did not reach the place to be called senior without expertise and experience. If you neglect them and their experience it will not only exasperate them but will also deprive you from correcting your mistakes.
I AM IRREPLACEABLE
This is an absolute misnomer. Nobody is indispensable today- if you are not there, someone else will chip in to churn the wheels of business. Before aspiring for promotion, be a bit introspective and ask yourself “am I worth and prepared for it” Promotion not only means more professional respect but also a ‘changed lifestyle’. If you are not prepared to take up a larger assignments in the company, your promotion can backfire you and stifle your prosperity. Hence don’t promise something without ensuring that it is achievable.

BEST THINGS ARE ACHIEVED BY INTROSPECTION OF HAPPENINGS AND FOLLOW THE ENRICHMENT TIPS WE GET BESTOWED FROM MUCH EXPERIENCED PEOPLE AMONGST US THAN WAITING TO LEARN IT OURSELVES AS WAITING WILL NOT BRING BACK THE TIME ELAPSED
